RED ROOM

The Central Mansion has been fully restored to recreate its original historic beauty.  These rooms welcome guests to step back in time when the hustle and bustle of territorial growth was booming and elegant dining at the Manning House completed a pioneer's busy day. The Red Room's richly elegant, but southwestern atmosphere, entices the old time Tucsonans who remember the mansion in its heyday, as well as the first time visitors who come to bask in the warmth of rich historic redwood and grand atrium dining.

The Rooms were named in honor of the Irish born Spanish Officer Hugo O'Conor who founded Tucson's Presidio in 1775. Adjacent to the Red Room is a partially covered, shaded outdoor veranda enclosed by ornamental iron gates. All of the Central Mansion's rooms are furnished with period furniture, solid Italian granite tables and unique Spanish style chairs.
